A day of relax is just what we need, many days of traveling, so much seen and so much done… Our host is a man of schedules and organizes us the day…we’ll go with the flow.
After the delicious breakfast with a good café which is not easy to find, it takes us to a SPA. A small jet pool, a very cold shower and a sauna is not a big deal but we feel in heaven. Now…we did already notice that a lot of people here have some tattoos and piercings but when the clothes go off… the curtains open. Skeletons playing poker, spiders, tribal, skulls, Hell’s Angels logos, more bones and panthers climbing shoulders. So here we are, relaxing between fully tattooed people and for a once I can’t blame Giorgia for looking to the parts of other men, their intimal tattoos might be a masterpiece 😉
Later on we have a nice oversized dinner at Devin’s favorite place. When he goes home we work a bit writing the blog and go for a walk in Portland. Portland, the city of bridges, as the Willamette River flows through it.
The very nice walk along the riverside, passing different districts, brings us to the old part of the city. Enjoyable streets with dark bars, strip clubs and loud live music seduce us to wonder around and lose the way without caring. Ending up at the Voodoo Doughnuts, the most famous of the West Coast. Apart from all kind of chocolate, colored sugars and other toppings, they even make them with bacon!!! “Tomorrow we have to pass by before going to Boise!”. We say directly. We go home hoping tomorrow will come soon.
